Information we use
We use your email address and account identifier to register and authenticate your account. Our authentication provider processes your password; the app does not display it to other users.
We store the pet names, categories, photos, backgrounds, drawings, comments, likes, reports, blocks, Queue assignments and Paw Ticket transactions you provide or generate through the service. Public pet content and approved public drawings and comments may be shown to other users. Your email address and reports are not public profile information. Authorized moderators can review submitted content and reports.
Your profile name, bio and selected avatar are stored with your account and can be shown on your public profile and beside your artwork. We also store follows, saved items and interaction notifications. Your accepted pet categories are an account preference used to filter Home recommendations; this preference is not included in public profile results. Pets have a unique public number for identification and search.
Your installation also stores session credentials, drawing drafts, profile preferences and custom brushes. Diagnostics exported with the drawing tools stay on your device unless you choose to send the exported file to us. Such a file can contain drawing input and performance information; inspect it before sharing.
Our hosting and authentication providers process network and security information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to operate and protect the service. We do not currently use advertising SDKs or cross-app advertising tracking, sell your personal information, or upload your entire photo library.
Photos and device access
You choose the photos that you want to upload using the system photo picker. The app uses the selected images to create pet profiles, references and backgrounds. Denying access does not prevent you from browsing available content. Only upload photos you have the right to share, and avoid photos containing addresses, identity documents or other people's personal information.
If you choose Scan with camera, PawDoodle requests camera access to read a profile QR code. Camera frames and images selected only for QR scanning are processed on your device and are not uploaded. Scanning a valid code then requests that profile from our service using your normal account permissions. The camera stops when you leave the scanner or put the app in the background.
You can generate a share card containing the displayed profile information, selected pet and portrait previews, and a QR code with a profile identifier. The card is generated on your device. Saving it requests permission to add the image to Photos; the web version offers an image preview and download. Saving does not upload the card. Copies you choose to share outside PawDoodle may remain with their recipients even if you later change or delete the profile; the QR code does not grant access to private content.
Service providers and location
PawDoodle uses Supabase for authentication, database storage and uploaded files. The current service is hosted in the United States (us-east-1). Your information is processed there when you use this service. Access is limited according to account permissions and moderation duties. A separate mainland China service is not currently offered.
PawDoodle does not send new profile or uploaded content to OpenAI or another external AI provider for moderation. New submissions use server-side text and account checks. Authorized human moderators can inspect and hide published content, with user reports prioritized. Nicknames, biographies and comments also undergo server-side text filtering.
Retention and account deletion
Account and service data is kept while needed to provide your account, display your chosen content, operate Queue and handle reports. You can hide eligible drawings, delete comments you wrote, and manage blocks from the app.
You can request account deletion in Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deletion removes your account, pet records, associated photos and backgrounds, drawings associated with your account, comments, likes, Queue records and Ticket records from the active service. File cleanup includes nested uploads and received portraits. The current installation's drafts, custom brushes and account preferences are also cleared. Copies on another offline device must be removed from that device; copies someone independently saved or shared cannot be remotely erased by PawDoodle.
If deletion is interrupted, some data may already be removed. Publishing is paused for that account and you can retry deletion. Contact us if you cannot complete it. Provider backups and operational logs follow the provider's retention and security processes rather than being modified as live records. We do not use retained backups to restore a deleted account to public use. If applicable law requires retaining specific information, we will explain the relevant exception.
Your choices and rights
Contact pawdoodleofficial@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion, withdraw an optional permission, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify that the request concerns your own account. You may also have rights to object, restrict processing or complain to your local data protection authority, depending on where you live.
Children and changes
Contact us if you believe a child has provided information without the required permission. We will review the concern and remove information where appropriate. Material policy changes will be reflected here with a revised effective date and communicated in the app when required.
